ABOUT US

With the aim of developing and promoting the destination through coordinating key tourism development activities, strengthening and connecting stakeholders at the local level, improving the conditions for tourists to stay in the destination, creating a recognizable tourist environment, and raising awareness of the importance and economic, social and other effects of tourism, as well as the need and importance of preserving and improving all elements of the destination's tourism resource base, especially environmental protection, the Tourist Board of the City of Metković was established. The establishment and scope of work of tourist boards is defined by the Act on Tourist Boards and Promotion of Croatian Tourism ( Official Gazette 52/19, 42/20 ) . The Tourist Board as an organization operates according to the principle of destination management, with the aim of promoting and developing tourism and the economic interests of legal and natural persons who provide hospitality services and services in tourism or perform other activities directly related to tourism in the destination area.
