Friary house
In the old part of the city of Metković, known as Krnjesavac, there is the so-called friar's house, which has been the home of Metković's parish priests and chaplains since the beginning of the 20th century when they served in the parish of St. Elijah. The name comes from the Metković name for a priest belonging to the Franciscan order. It is a multi-storey building that mixes elements of traditional architecture, simple design with elements of contemporary styles, historicism and art nouveau, primarily in the decoration of the facade and fence.
